    SGE signed Production Sharing Contracts (PSC) with China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (Sinopec), and China United Coalbed Methane Corporation Ltd. (CUCBM) (wholly owned by China National Offshore Oil Corporation) to develop natural gas and CBM in Lin County and Xing County in Lvliang City, Shanxi Province, respectively.
   One of China’s top priorities today is ensuring the natural environment is protected amidst the country’s continued rapid economic development. To this end, various policies have been put into place that have lowered coal consumption and promoted the use of clean energy, including gas. The development of natural gas, in particular, is essential for China to attain its long-term sustainability objectives. Sino Gas is well positioned to contribute to these efforts. We are an active participant in Shanxi Province’s “2020-2022 Action Plan” to increase reserves and production of CBM, tight gas, and shale gas in a sustainable manner. We expect our gross production to reach 1.7 billion m³ in 2021, accounting for 8.5% of the province’s total production target by 2022.
