The Linxing Project is a cooperative project under the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) signed between Sino Gas and China United Coalbed Methane Corporation Ltd. (wholly-owned subsidiary of CNOOC). The Linxing Project includes Linxing West (Block A) and Linxing East (Block B). Linxing West is in both Lin County and Xing County and the PSC covers an area of 563.003 km², whereas Linxing East is in Xing County and the PSC covers an area of 149.26 km². The proposed annual production capacity is 1.1 billion m³ for Linxing West and 300 million m³ for Linxing East. The Linxing Project commenced production in 2015 and is expected to achieve total gross production of 1.4 billion m³ by 2021.
   
 
 
    The Linxing Project is one of ten key oil and gas projects in Shanxi Province.The Overall Development Plan (ODP) for LX project has been filed with National Energy Administration in Feb. 2021 indicating the LX project has entered into the production phase.
